This is basically an anti-resume screening software post. Long story short I met someone last night from a well-known cartoon-mouse/sports company who said they were in desperate need of people in my field who do exactly what I do. Hilariously enough, my good friend had applied for the EXACT job posting he was talking about, and my friend has 4 years of professional experience and the job would even be a pay cut from his current gig, he only applied because they offered full benefits and he currently is freelancing.
Since the person I met didn’t work in HR or anything I didn’t have the heart to tell him his company’s resume-screening software is trash and probably auto-rejecting all qualified applicants because of some glitch or whatever, and until they realize the problem they probably won’t fill that seat for a while. Sucks to suck!
EDIT: forgot to add my friend found a better, higher paying full-time position with 3.5 weeks PTO, full benefits, and almost no labor required of him as opposed to this job my post is referring to
