Post in question. Probably important for context. Also wanted to say that I appreciate the feedback on that post.
Today i handed in my written 2 weeks notice. To the same manager who lost my direct deposit (and told me i need to figure out a way to get hair dye and change my hair to a natural color after I explained that i have bills and could lose my house). I thought it was pretty professional and i was told that it didnt matter whether it was typed or written in pen, (and i dont have a printer anyway).
Suddenly this manager no longer faked being nice to me! Crazy isn’t it? /s
Anyway she basically uno reverse carded me and said i still have to “change my hair by friday or not show up.” Which doesn’t sound like a professional thing to say to an employee. So i guess I’m unofficially fired?
Heres the thing i need some sort of advice about, as kind of a side note: should i ask for some kind of official statement of being fired, or does it really matter?
Right after this conversation i saw something written under the schedule:
We are once again in the position of being understaffed.

I couldn’t help but laugh. Imagine treating your staff like garbage and then going “we’re undewstaffed 🥺🥺.” What a fucking joke.
