I found a work from home job & while I was upstairs working, my dad fell & broke his hip. He had to be transported via ambulance to the local E.R. & since I'm his only caregiver so I had to leave to be there for him. He is still in the hospital & having other life threatening issues due to the fall & before I could explain to them my circumstances for having to leave during training they had my temp service prob me with questions about the fall as if I was lying, they literally humiliated me about a circumstances that was no fault of my own then said they would contact the employer to see what they wanted to do about my absence.
Fast forward to Thursday morning, I attempted to log into my workspace & couldn't get logged on. I was confused because my temp service told me everything was ok & to return to work the next morning. I called the temp service & that's when they notified me that I've been fired! This is the state of TN so they have a right to fire you for anything!
It took me months to find this job due to a partial disability, I'm so angry right now. Not only do I have to worry about a sick parent, but now I have no job! They say when it rains it pours! This job helps cover our bills & now additional medical expenses! We will lose our home which is already behind $500! This temp service is by far the worse temp service I've ever worked for!
I don't understand how employers beg us to work for them, but expect us to never need time off or have an emergency! I mean my dad fell! That wasn't his fault or my own & they just threw me to the trash as if this was something controllable.
