I had my car totaled the other day and live far from the office. Even though we have remote work capabilities, I was still asked to come into the office. I was told to take an Uber or something because it was absolutely necessary for me to be there (it wasn’t). Ended up shelling out quite a bit to do so and am just pissed off.
He seems adamant that I notify him well in advance and makes a big deal about me not being able to come in for the very few times I needed to be at home (even though I have very valid reasons). Meanwhile, he’s hardly there for some reason or the other – he’s done the remote work more times in one week than I have in 6 months but I still have to be there rain or shine. I fucking hate this.
