At my small store, there’s me and his wife as assistant managers and 3 High School kids to work as sales people. We’re all paid terribly (I’m making $11 an hour and the highest) and were told we would be getting 90 day reviews soon that will come with a raise.
I had mine yesterday, and he openly admitted he only asked for raises for me and his wife, not the high school kids he promised, all of which are working for $10 or less an hour. Not only that, I “didn’t qualify for one” but DON’T WORRY…I’m getting a ¢50 raise after 6 months.
Well I told my coworkers what he told me (because they have a right to know) and 2 are quitting, one is on the fence but will probably leave, and I’ve already started looking for another job. I really hope he realizes how badly he messed up when it’s only him and his wife running the store, but also having to take care of their kids, finish up moving, and all the other plans he made. F*** you Ronnie, treat us better.
