My boss gave me a coaching plan when moving to a new team

I work for a large ecommerce company both helping our clients succeed in their business and helping other team members when they need help. This is an insanely stressful job where people are quitting daily and I’ve expressed that this isn’t sustainable if they want to keep employees. Recently, I learned that I was moving to a new team but my boss (who most likely won’t be my boss after this week) has decided to put me on a coaching plan that my new boss can decide to implement if they want. What is the point of putting me on something if 1) I’ve already completed 90% of the work on it (my bosses words not mine) and 2) my new boss doesn’t even need to use it?!?
