So this happened to me many years ago, but it popped in to my head this morning as I was getting ready for work.
So I use to work at a Dairy Queen in high-school and it was a ok first job I guess, but one weekend, it was one of my best friends birthdays and I obviously wanted to go so I called a few of my closer co workers to see if they'd cover me but they couldn't, so I decided in my 11th grader mind to fake being sick to get out of work that night and go to my friends birthday party, so I did and we went to the bowling ally and we were hanging out and haven a good time. Then one of my friends comes up to and says hey the guy at the counter says your dad's on the phone and its an emergency. And I'm obviously super confused that he would call the bowling ally and not my cellphone but whatever I go to the phone and say hey dad whats up… and it's my fucking boss at DQ on the otherside, and he says something like if you don't get here in 30 minutes your going to be in big trouble and what not, and I being 16 at the time kinda freakout about and get kinda sacred and upset, so I leave the party go home get my work shirt almost crying out of embarsent at the point when my parents see me, and go to work and my boss doesn't say anything to me about it untill we close and just says you really made my life hard to day and I don't want it to happen again. I quite a few months after that day and it also ruined ice cream for me for years
I later found out that one of my friends who worked with me at DQ and my girlfriend who was visiting her at work had talked about going to the party that weekend and we assume he put to and to together.
TDLR; My boss at the Dairy Quenn impersonated my dad over the phone saying there was an emergency to get a hold of me, just to get me to leave a party to work a scheduled shift.
Edit; clarification this specific experience didn't ruin icecream for me but working at DQ in general ruined it lol.
Final Edit; I did the math and this happened 8 almost 9 years ago now.
