So I am the Gm for a small restaurant in my city. And we have maybe 5 people on a shift at a time. This is so we can handle the bulk of the rush all stations staffed and handle cleaning and customer service, and if anyone calls out because life happens we are usually safe.
My asshole boss wants me to cut that down to 4 a shift every shift and I'm just blown back. He doesn't understand how this will affect morale. At all, he just sees it as a chance to make his profit margins go up. We are already losing 6 people because they are going away to college! Like he doesn't come in and help or do anything, and he thinks he understands the day to day business because he has more money and is on conference calls all the time. Like fuck off. We are having a meeting about it tomorrow and I'm firmly saying no or he can find someone else to bully. I'm not gonna stress myself for a job, and I'm not gonna punish my crew because he wants to be greedy!
He truly is out of touch when it comes to how businesses are run, and yet he owns 3 because he was silver spoonfed. How does someone so under qualified get that far. At this point my aggression with him is second. He just shouldn't be allowed to bully us then complain that no one wants to work or spout his reganomic ass rhetoric at me.
