My boss listed my job on Indeed two days ago saying ‘urgently needed’ without telling me lol.

Honestly, the writing was on the wall that it was a toxic place to work after he exploded on me for a pretty benign mistake last week and told me I wasn’t good enough etc. I’d only just started in early June. I planned to finish out the month of June for the full paycheck but yesterday I saw he listed my position on indeed as ‘urgently needed’. He called me yesterday and said that I’m a lovely person but he’s keeping me on ‘probation’ this week and hasn’t made up his mind as to whether or not he intends on hiring someone new. Pretty sure actively seeking new candidates is ‘decided’ but my guess is he is stringing me along to man the desk while he interviews others who he wants to replace me. I have zero plans to finish out the week, or do any favors for someone…

I have zero plans to finish out the week, or do any favors for someone who has such little respect for his employees. I brought my work computer home this weekend to WFH next week but he can make arrangements himself to have it collected, as it’s a over an hour commute to the office and I have better things to do with my time.

I am so so over bosses who make big bucks off employees who are paid so little and treat them so horribly. I keep telling myself that if a friend came to me and said their supervisor berated them over the phone until they cried I would tell them they should run for the hills and not look back, so that’s exactly what I will do. I work in Ireland so there’s no real benefit to letting him fire me, I wouldn’t get any unemployment money or anything.
