The thing is that we are a company that sells some products. And every time when they are made, we need to check them. But there are two product kinds of products, I in charge of one. So the product manager (not my direct boss)told my colleague and me that we have to test all of it. I thought it was the product that I am in charge of, so I agreed. And earlier yesterday, he told me that we should leave at about 4 PM and I have to work extra time. I thought 8 pm is the latest(7 pm off work), so I thought that's all right, after all it's my job. So I left at 4 pm. When I arrived at the factory, I am so shocked since this is not our product, and it shouldn't be my job. But the product manager told us clearly that it was our product. I think he lied. But I know that everything is not easy, but I helped until 8.30. And I am so mad since I have a dog to be fed. So I told him directly that I have to leave.
Then, today. My direct boss explained that they are in a labor shortage and I should help him. When he heard that I left at 8.30, he said that I should be there until 10.00 pm. 10PM！！！！！！！！！！！！ What's the matter with him? They lied to me and obviously that's not my job, so why I should stay there for so long without any pay. I am so mad at him, and really want to quit.
