My Boss tried to Coerce my Resignation instead of Firing me

I work seasonally at a job and at the beginning of the Summer season they ask you to elect either Part time (<320 hours & <32 hours per week) or full time (40 hours per week and >320 hours). I elected full time in May and due to extraneous circumstances I’m not going to fulfill my hour requirement by the set deadline.

On a call discussing this my employer was rude and said if I don’t make this requirement I’m effectively resigning. He did not fire me but tried to get me to say that I was in fact resigning.

Following the call I emailed him detailing routes that allow me to continue working for the company such as a leave of absence or changing my designation to part time. As well as asking what my ongoing employment status is. He responded with only
“Please work the remainder of your scheduled shifts.”

I know he is trying to have me quit or resign to avoid raising the company premium.

I have no write ups, and have excellent job performance, in fact most supervisors praise me for it… Additionally, I have never been late over 3 years.

What are my options going forward?
I was counting on working in the off season as well, which he previously offered as “definitely an option”. But in the call he said he would take me off the schedule if I didn’t meet my hour requirement. (Not necessarily that I’d be fired but taken off the schedule…)
