As with most families, there is a lot wrong with my boyfriend’s, but nothing baffles me more than their view on working. They are willing to work themselves to their deaths and they are outraged when my boyfriend voices his view on how shelter and food should be human rights. The mom has an expensive car she uses to drive to her job where she has an all-in contract (which is a glorified form of slavery). She hates going to the job, so she spends her money on buying bougie shit. How about working less…. buying less? I assume they have A LOT of money (they used to own a big building in Vienna which included lots of apartments inherited from a – you guessed it! – nazi grandad), but the only thing they like to do (or have energy for after working more than 10 hours a day) is watch TV. They are so overworked, but they do not mind it because they have MONEYYYYYY. Are they generous? No. Not even with each other. The dad didn’t even let the mom get Spotify. Spotify. She drives a BMW, he a Jaguar (the insurance alone costs more than what we pay for rent), but God forbid she spends 10 euros a month for unlimited Music. What is this? Communist China?
The sister got fired from that job where she happily worked for 15 hours a day only because she asked for a raise. Not only this but she got fired right after she broke her leg lol. When she was jobless and she needed money for her cat’s medical treatment. the dad gave her 500 euros, which he obviously wanted back. Yes, 500 euros is a lot of money, but this is a guy who probably has a remote control for his huge TV that costs more than 500 euros.
