Edit: Sorry, I went ahead and removed most of this post even though I felt it was safely anonymized because people think it was a fake story and they wanted to prove it by figuring out who the CEO was and forwarding the thread to them.
During the pandemic I told a joke in a medium-sized, private discord server I am part of. The joke mocked something specific that my employer’s famous CEO did. Someone thought the post was a sick enough burn that they reposted it on social media, tagging the CEO. There was one very minor tangible detail in the post which I never would have suspected of deanonymizing me, but that's because I never imagined the CEO himself reading it.
Well, he read it after being tagged in it and then I got blacklisted from the industry. The end, because apparently if I say any more a bunch of trolls are going to ruin my day again~
