My company sent me to a developing country and declined to pay for the recommended vaccines. Now I’m sick in the hospital.

There were a total of 7 vaccines recommended for travelers, so I asked my company to pay for me to take them, because better safe than sorry. But they ended up only paying for one (rabies) and declined to pay for the rest. Their reasoning was that it’s just a short trip, and the vaccines are a recommendation, not a requirement. What was really going on, I assume, is that they didn’t feel like paying the high amount to vaccinate me with all 7. Well, I’m in the hospital bed now waiting on the test results, and the doctor said it’s a high likelihood of being cholera, which was one of the 7 vaccines I wanted to take.
