My coworkers mom has terminal cancer and is almost guaranteed to die in the near future. She's had to take a few days off to go and help take care of her and spend time with. The last few days our boss has been going up to her and asking her how many days she'll need off when her mom dies. She's also been asking if her boyfriend who also works with us will need the days off too. This has been the same line of questioning, harassing her about this when she currently has no idea what she's going to do. I think it's a bit fucked up asking your employee to make a plan for you for when their parents die. Is this kind of line of questioning acceptable? What can she do about it?
