My grandmother is terminally ill with cancer. She probably has a week to live at most. My dad called out when the doctor called him and said she is dying to come see her asap. And they fired him for it. To make matters worse I am not currently working due to complex ptsd and bone fragments in my feet. I've been paying my parents 400 a month from my student loan to stay at home while I heal enough to start working. I have only a month or two more of money for therapy for my ptsd. Also I'm trans and the gender affirming care I was going to get in order to stop the dysphoria induced panic attacks and intense nausea is out of the question for now since the health insurance was cut off. I truly fucking hate the US work system. I'm as angry as I am depressed because I know what just happened to me happens to people all the time. And no one deserves to go into debt just to survive. I'm going to apply for insurance through the Obama care website. And start the application for disability. But I can't depend on that since it takes at minimum 6 months and up to 2 years to get a hearing. And there is no guarantee I will get approved.
