My dad works in the finance department for a large hospital in a southern US state and has worked there about 4 or 5 years.
He lives about 2.5 hours from away and he would only take the job if they allowed him to work from home. Due to his experience in the industry, the approved his request with the only exception being he has to come in to the office once every 2 weeks or so. He agreed. Sounds like a pretty sweet gig.
Anyway, because this hospital is in the middle of downtown, they have a large parking garage used for employees. In order to park there, they must pay the monthly fee of over $100. My dad asked to make an exception and pay only for the days he parks. 2 or 3 days every month vs $100 bucks. Sounds reasonable to me. Except the company wouldn’t budge.
They’re nickel and diming their employees for a measly hundred bucks. It’s absolutely pathetic. Yet my dad said he can see the CEOS bright red Ferrari parked in the reserved lot right next to the entrance of the garage. Parked there every day, like a big “haha peasants. Thanks for making me rich.” A massive middle finger to the working class.
He basically said fuck this and started getting to work super early and parks in a pay by the hour parking lot. Caps at like $15.
CEOs are despicable.
