He had been working there for 16 years and he was a really good, hard-working employee. He’s an immigrant (from Nicaragua) and doesn’t speak any English, so he’s been working on the assembly line and as a forklift operator for the company. He had a minor forklift incident; Long story short one of the employees yelled because his forklift was too close to her and he starts what he was doing immediately to help her, and make sure she wasn’t hurt. Nothing happened and she system no injuries and there was no tell me a joke, but he was still fired even though he passed the drug test! Could he still get unemployment? I’m so hurt and distraught by this. Could we file a wrongful termination lawsuit? Any advice? Please and thank you.
