My Dream Job is no job… any advice for motivation?

I’m not 100% sure that this is the right place to post this, but I tried on another subreddit and I didn’t get any useful feedback, so I was gonna try my luck here. So I just graduated (18f), and I’m about to head to college, but I’m not sure what else to do. For starters, I currently work at a nail salon that my parents own. This means that I usually get to work when I want to work and I can make quick and easy money for a single person who still lives at home. However, my parents have made it clear that they don’t want me in this profession full-time, and that it won’t make sustainable money long term. I also don’t like the job, but it’s fairly easy, so I do it. Plus, it takes the financial burden off my parents. As far as college goes,…

As far as college goes, I am majoring in paralegal studies. This means that it is easier than law school (becoming a lawyer), but it’ll still make good money. However, I’m not sure if that’s what I’m truly passionate about. For the last couple years I’ve kind of been bullshitting why I like law. Sure there are some aspects that I’m okay with, but overall I’m still iffy on the topic.

Throughout high school, I was super involved in a lot of volunteering clubs, as well as took a lot of advanced/honors classes. I also played sports, which meant that I was not cooped up in the house and I had the chance to figure out what I wanted to do. However, I feel that the only thing keeping me volunteering and in sports for so long is that I got to do things on my own time, and got to pick and choose what I wanted to do. Unfortunately, I understand that this is not how the world works and I’ll have to get my ass out of bed, even if it’s inconvenient.

I’ve also thought about being a wedding planner, but that honestly feels like a fleeting dream that I’m romanticizing way too much. In reality, I’m awful with numbers and I’ve never wanted to own a business. I also have zero experience with weddings.

Is there anyone who can give me advice for what steps I take next to improve my motivation?

1) The only thing I’ve received comments and dms from is whether or not I’m looking in OnlyFans/SW. I am personally not legitimately looking into that as a means of making money.
