My employers just killed the cutest job in science..

I am a psychologist who studies why babies laugh. It's fair to say it is one of the most delightful jobs in the world. Unfortunately, I've had to resign in protest. Two years ago my univeristy, Goldsmiths, in London, got a new head who is systematically destroying everything we value about our institution. We've had heartfelt collective appeals, massive votes of no confidence and even strikes. Nothing moves management to care or engage with our conerns. I could have thought about moving to another university, but our employers organisation recently voted massive cuts in our pensions. (I lost 40% of my pension overnight). So, that's it, no more laughing babies! Thanks, UK university 'leaders', I hope you are happy with your work. I'm sad but I'm also optimsitic about the future and really enjoyed writing my resignation letter.
