I've been working at a Electric Utility Company for the past 8 years had numerous Bosses and Supervisors. I loved the Job but I was never promoted until October 2022(cross promotions due to re-orgs don't count). I was passed over for the opening supervisor role 3 times(had over a dozen years of prior experience) to people from other industries, psychology majors who were “self taught” (they didnt last a year). Had new hires promoted over me that didn't know what they were doing (last supervisor before the cross promotion was a known racist, who had a thing for young blondes fresh out of college; eventually fired) when I was cross promoted the pay stayed the same, all my new/old colleagues in that group were cool except for this one Bible Thumper that would quote scripture while I was trying to figure out the cheapest, most economical way to provide service to a customer that would build their mobile home in the middle of nowhere, after 2.5 years in this role I had a new supervisor who promoted me, gave me a $20K increase…..fast forward to February 2023 my current boss who promoted me put me in a performance improvement plan due to a customer complaint that I “took too long to send her an invoice” so she put me on probabtion for 90 days with possible termination. We would have a meeting every week and she was always threatening to fire me, last week was supposed to be my final day may 5th, but I was hired by a small town and put my two weeks in…I have my exit interview today, how should I behave, LOL!?!?!
