I’m relatively new to this sub but it’s great seeing so many like minded people who realize how bad we’re being screwed. I’m 22 years old and am an assistant manager at a dunkin. I am one of the only white employees at my work and my boss has made very racist comments to me because he thinks I won’t care. I’ve been there for two years but still only make $13.75 as an assistant manager when minimum wage is only $13 in NJ. Our store has had roaches and mice in the past but nothing happened although not anymore. Also in my two years I’ve never seen a health inspector. I heard from another employee our owner apparently bribes them. He knew the owner more personally. Generally management does not care about anyone but themselves and I feel after working full time for two years 45 hours 6 days that who I was as a person in college before Covid when I wasn’t working as much is gone. It wouldn’t be so bad if there wasn’t shadiness behind our backs and greater appreciation
