My experience working two jobs…every time something happens in my life.

I remember around 2014 I moved in with my parents and couldn’t get a job as a security officer for this one company (not going to give them a plug) because I had to be a one year resident in the states. So one thing led to another. I was 23 going on 24. My parents would constantly ask me to join the military. Air Force if you will. So I started using the ASVAB practice test. When I took the practice. I failed. Had to be sent back home. Again, and again. I was tired of hearing my parents go back and forth. So I applied to any job I could find. I worked two part time jobs. When I took the practice. I failed. Had to be sent back home. Again, and again. I was tired of hearing my parents go back and forth. So I applied to any job I could find. I worked two part time jobs. One as an auditor and one as a steward. Even though they were both part time. I had two jobs. My parents lightened you after that. Even though I was just getting by. They still asked me questions about “when do you go to work?” Or “you off today?” Which made me uninterested in answering at times since I would only get 5hrs at one job. And I would work 1 or 2 days at the other. I spent 1 year at my first job making $10 an hour but it wasn’t hourly. Everything was based on speed in counting merchandise at a timely manner. I remember when I started. I wanted to quit. I felt useless when her people in the background clicking and clacking so fast like they’re 4G broadband (at that time ). I managed and made it from auditor to specialist. I worked at a hospitality joint where I worked at different hotels in the kitchen cleaning dishes and helping set up tables. I resigned the 2nd job after 7 or 8 months. Fast forward to 2019 I ended up working at Zaxby’s making $8 an hour. So I ended up getting another 2nd job since that wasn’t enough to pay my bills. So I worked at Publix. Only lasted for 3 months. So I went to Marco’s pizza as a 2nd job while still working at Zaxby’s because I heard about how the tips were decent. I quit Zaxby’s and worked at Marco’s for a while until I ended up getting a delivery job. 4 jobs I worked during the pandemic of 2020. The expenditure of having to work multiple jobs is just corrosion of people’s time and efforts to make time for what’s important.
