my factory is closing and I’m getting laid off. they are also hiring for my position only it’s a remote position

Classic corporation move but I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to make it better for me and maybe worse for them? I'm in Ontario Canada and I should note the remote job wasn't suggested or offered.
