My failure of leadership?
So I recently got a year end review where my boss told me I did nothing good and everything was a failure of leadership by me. He was so blnd he didn’t realze that if I was such a failure, it must be a failure of his leadership. Anyway, he pulled out some serious bullshit on whiy I was a failure. None of it true. One specific thing he brought up was me not engaging with Employee A. When I told him of my issues with Employee A, he told me how it was all my fault that I didn’t properly engage with Employee A. So, I asked for his assistance. And after a long lecture about how it was all my fault, he finally agreed to call Employee A. After a brief conversation, Employee A told my boss “Everything they say about you is true, you’re an asshole, this is all bullshit, fuck you I quit.” I looked at my boss and said “This is a failure of my leadership?”. To which he replied “Ok, I’ll fix this”. He had no fucking clue how to fix it. Such an ass. Told me it was my fault and the employee totally shit on him in front of me. And he continued to blame me for that employee that I didn't hire. But, honestly, Dude is my hero.
