My first paycheck was 10% of what the store made just yesterday

I just got paid yesterday, and I made about 540 bucks for like 3 weeks of working. I only make 11 an hour. I asked for just 12 when I started and he said he could do 11.50 then when he calls me he says he talked to the owner and could only do 11. The thing is I'm on drug court and had to get this job, and I think they knew that (I had to tell them I was on drug court when they interviewed me)and used it as an advantage to low-ball me. But it's generally pretty chill and easy if we aren't literally fucking slammed like the last couple days. Anyways, is it even possible to join a union if you're technically the only employee? I don't know shit about unions, I just feel like I'm kinda getting fucked. They're gonna put my job on hold while I go to rehab and plan on asking for a raise when I get back, but that's only gonna be .50. I do like the job though, I don't wanna complain, like my expenses are lax to the point I don't actually need a huge raise, I'd just like my value to be better compensated that's all.
