I've been the General Manager of a Domino's for a year and a half or so. I've been fighting for my employees to get paid more by my now former greedy franchisee. It's been one thing after another. I had a workers comp issue a few months ago when I had to get stitches from an injury I got at work, and after I submitted the form, I started getting calls from debt collectors. So I called my franchisee and told him to fix it or I would contact my lawyer. The next day, (friday) he forced my District Manager to fire me. My former employees are outraged, and many of them may quit/strike.
Now, I'm trying to get a job in my dream field, and I can't sleep because of how anxious I am. It's been a long day, and I just wanted to write this somewhere. I hope real change can be made for the better in the workforce.
