So my friend who’s in the military was working at the same hospital as me making about $21/hr. She quit because she wanted to make more money last year . I lost touch with her but we recently spoke and updated each other on our lives and she told me she now makes 6 figures working in cyber security. She’s also in a managerial role. I was shocked because I’ve literally know her ever since we were in high school and I know for a fact she has zero knowledge or experience in cybersecurity. She told me that she basically lied on her resume . She said she had years of experience but knows absolutely nothing . She’s been getting by in the job by asking her friend who works in cyber security questions and googling everything. She has however started to read books on cyber security and she’s also learning a lot on the job. She has been able to save $20,000 so far this year .
