I’m in the Netherlands, just moved here from US. My spouse signed a job contract recently. He gets 40 vacation days paid, 38 hour weeks, 14 months of paychecks. One is for vacation and one is a bonus, paid transportation, healthcare, & unlimited sick days. I am in my masters and we are not allowed to do more than 5 days of school work and must limit our hours each day.
My prof told a girl in class yesterday she was burned out and her homework assignment was pictures of her at the beach today.
Of course it isn’t perfect, but this happened because people refuse anything else.
