My interaction with an “unskilled” postal employee.

I live in just outside a tiny town — no traffic light, but big enough for its own post office. Yesterday, I needed to ship a package to Oslo, Norway. The attendant was quite helpful, and took good care of me filling out the customs forms and other docs. She said she would leave the tracking number in my PO Box last night. I drove off, then realized I forgot to tell her my PO Box number, so I returned to the post office, and said, “I forgot to tell you my PO Box number is 72.” She just nodded. I said, “You have my PO box memorized?” She smiled shyly, “Yes.” “Do you have the PO box numbers memorized for everybody in town?” Another shy smile, “Yes.” Unskilled, eh?
