My job didn’t pay me for four weeks I can’t afford to show up until money is in my bank account

I have 0 in my bank account can’t afford a gas nor a ride to work. They said check should arrive Wednesday and since my bank is not in the city and I will deposit the check online it might take until Thursday to clear thats if the check arrive. What should I tell them, they just screwed me over then lied saying my direct deposit was wrong when I sent an email they said no call us. They are refusing to do a direct deposit
