back in february i accepted a new part time wfh position that would eventually turn full time. i gave my notice to my job but offered to stay as a “contracter” and only come in 3 days a week. they agreed to this, but have yet to pay me the PTO they owe me from being a full time employee. it’s been over a month since i switched to contract work and they have not hired my replacement. as my wfh job comes with more responsibilities, i find my time at this physical fucking office less and less important as i sit here filing papers from two years ago. last week i was helping a family member out dog sitting and my office job gave me a hard time about missing days and essentially forced me to come in today (a wednesday, not a day i work in the office) in order to make up for it. i feel like im getting jerked around and squeezed for every extra bit of work i can offer while they sit around and do nothing to replace me. i feel if i don’t set an end date for myself, i’ll be stuck being their contractor forever.
