Here's the catch, no one knows if people under the new “minimum” will be adjusted to that as their new salary or if we will be adjusted to the same range we were previously. The change goes into effect in October.
For example: We follow a minimum, mid and max for each position in compensation. I had to negotiate my salary to get to the midpoint in compensation due to my previous experience. You could see how, if I went from being paid midpoint compensation to suddenly minimum wage for the same job – I would be pissed.
I've already screenshotted my compensation page showing I fall in the midpoint incase I need to use that in negotiations.
Is there anything else I should do to prepare?
