My job is trying to force unqualified people to do medical charting for residents.

So everyone is quitting, we lost most of our caregivers and the only other nurse. The remaining nurse is a ridiculous, demanding person, constantly trying to get us caregivers to do her job. Instead of hiring a new nurse, management thought it would be a great idea to force us (untrained caregivers with no legal medical experience and only making 12$ an hour) to learn this computer system (reserved for RN’s literally anywhere else) and do medical charting on the residents. Tell me, if your elderly, dementia ridden parents are in a home, do you want a nurse to monitor their progress or some person who’s never done a day of medical training in their life and hate their job to do it? They don’t want to pay any extra to take on this huge new work load, and the nurse smugly walks around now that the other care givers…

Anybody else in a medical profession trying to be forced to do things they’re not qualified or paid for?
