My last job has literally left me traumatised and I want to buy a recording device for my next one.

Where I live, it is perfectly legal to record someone within their knowledge as long as the recorder (me) is also part of the conversation. My last job was fraught with bullying, broken promises, and discrimination. Nothing was ever said in writing, which I now realise was very purposeful. I've seen some $35 pens on Amazon that voice record but wondering if anyone else has suggestions?
