Posted last week about getting a cabin as a detour to not being harassed all week about working on my day off. And for the most part it worked. Until as I was glamping and literally thanking myself for the trip. My very prickish emotionally inept manager called at 10:30ishpm on the first night and asked me to do him a solid. I had been drinking since 4. So instead of hanging up on him. I entertained his questions. Thinking he was going to ask me to double check his paperwork, as per usual. But no. This prick said he googled where the camp ground was and noticed it was only 45 minutes away from work and then proceeded to ask me to come in. I had him on speaker and me and my better half had a good laugh. He hung up. I woke up at 6am yesterday to a text. “Where are you?” Hungover and hangry. I proceeded to call the GM who is a cool ass dude. Fairly good at his job. Woke him up. And had a nice, but heavy conversation about his incompetent management team. Not just the rude prick with self esteem issues. He asked me to provide proof. So I sent him docs that I hadn't discarded that prick sent to me to fix. There was a few. I'm not a big fan of recording people. But I am not above calling someone on 3way and not telling them that the GM is on the line also. Prick answered the phone and was screaming about being laughed at,and that all he needed to do was put me down as a no call, no show and fire my ass. By this time my old lady heard what he said and was snapping the fuck off in the background. I honestly got flustered and told the GM right there that this wasn't working out and now his management team is upsetting my wife and I quit. I also said something about calling the better business bureau and the navy. I don't know was insanely hungover and pissed off.was just talking just to hang up at that point. So there I was thinking my trip was ruined,but most important my rock was upset. About a hour passed and we went and got McDonald's and as we were eating the phone rang. Long story short. I'm a new member of an amazing management team🤡 and got a raise. But the cherry on the top was that prick wasn't fired. Demoted. I shit you not. Probation. No dock in pay. But guess who he reports to….not me, thank God. Someone else problem now. Good luck. Ohh my trip was amazing by the way.
