Basically the title of the post. My manager got laid off from the company I work at. The thing is, we were number two in the nation, out of nearly 8,000 stores we were number two but of course they don't fucking care. He was great at his job too, probably the best in our entire district, when he was manager on duty we sold more and because I am commission based I loved selling things because I got paid more. But of course they don't fucking care. How the fuck can I live in a system where we play by their rules, exceed their expectations, and still get punished because of their greed? I understand layoffs happen for smaller business, but when your company is worth 160 BILLION DOLLARS you can at least show your employees a little fucking respect and not treat them like dog shit because it's not like we are those smaller businesses. How the hell do I cope with this? I'm told to move on but I can't just fucking do that. I thought about having a walk out with other employees once they found out, nobody at the store knows except for me and management because I figured out what was going on, but I'm honestly scared that I will lose my job and they will retaliate. What should I do?
