So I've been working at this retail location for about 3 months (can't say what company they prohibit social media posts naming them) I applied for full time and when I got the job I was hired for part time. I've barely scraped by with the 25~ hours I was getting, then two of my coworkers and the assistant manager quit within a month and I got loaded up with 35 hours for about the past month. The hours have been nice, I've shown up for every shift on time (called in sick once in my first month, and another day my assistant manager sent me home after which i was blamed for leaving) done my work to the best of my ability and not left my duties unfinished. My manager hired two new people, one of which has been working for a week and is getting fired for calling pretty much every day. I've had to come in early because of this multiple days. That much I don't mind. What I do mind is being told I have to come in to cover on a day I'm off. I've stayed stern that I won't work when I've been scheduled off for certain days the week of. I was told I'd have to come in today to cover a shift, but since it's my day off and I already had plans to visit my nephews I said I can't. My manager threatened to cut my hours to 20 again. (she's done this same situation before) I've just checked the schedule and she's cut my hours this week down to 20 (from 27) Another thing I would like to point out, she was going to write me up if I didn't finish stocking 3 full buggys while working the register on one of the busiest days of the month (when I had gone on break she had my assistant manager make me another buggy so it would've been 4 if my coworker wasn't nice enough to do the extra one for me) for context on any given stock day I finish about 2 which is standard for the cashier. I just wanted to vent but thank you for reading
(Ps she gossips to her workers turning us against eachother, she also sends her husband in to spy on the store when she's off)
