My manager threatened to write me up for a medical emergancy

I work at a new restaurant in town as a server and I have only had my job for two months. When I was first hired, I was promised a wage of $5.50/hr without tips. I later found out through other co-workers that I'm not receiving that wage and am in fact only getting paid $2.25/hr. I've been taking shifts for people, doing my best to be kind, caring, and available to talk with anyone in my workplace. Despite this, my managers that I had worked with during training (they were very nice and positive back then, wanting us to learn with BBQ parties and free pizza) are now extremely rude to me and everyone else. Despite this, my managers that I had worked with during training (they were very nice and positive back then, wanting us to learn with BBQ parties and free pizza) are now extremely rude to me and everyone else. I was told word for word that “We do not care if your dog died, you still have to come in to work. That is not an emergency.” From one manager. Another one was seething at me because I made the small mistake of cutting a pork chop for a polite old man at someone's table, and because of that I was in the way of two people needing to be sat. All he did was tell me that I made him very angry – and to never do that again and he stormed off. He hasn't apologized to me at all. Throughout the weeks that I've been working as an actual server my legs have started to hurt quite a lot more than usual – I'm used to being on my feet with my jobs. I asked to go home early more often on lunch shifts. On my second time when my legs were giving out and I was crying from the pain, my manager told me that if “you do not have a doctor's note today for leaving early, I will count this against you.” I apologized profusely and he just walked away from me, ignoring me trying to explain that I was in pain despite repeating myself earlier. I'm going to quit today after turning in my doctor's note from the hospital because my doctors believe I have blood clots in my legs. Did I do the right thing?
