So my husband just started working in the same company as me yesterday. Im a cashier but work in other departments as well as Im needed. Well about 2 days ago they were helping a person with a order and due to the customer wanting a receipt without paying so she could show her employer cost of buying 800 fishing poles. My manger then came over to help and put my register in training mode. We ended up just printing a slip but he tried to get that slip and struggled doing that for going on half a hour and caused issues for customers as no one was able to by any tobacco for half a hour due to me being the only register in the store that could sell it. Plus by the time we finished I was supposed to go home.
I reminded my manager he needed to get me my replacement so I could leave as they had again put me on the only register in the store I couldn't just up and leave from as its the only one that sells cigarettes and the like. I was told no as now there was a massive line for people who needed tobacco products and my replacement was running late/ not even here.
I ended up 20 min late getting off work and therefor got 20 min overtime despite there being a giant red lettered sign over the time clock saying NO OVERTIME!!!
Well today was my day off but not my husbands and when he went to work the mangers were stupid enough to talk in front of him about how they should write me up for getting overtime as I knew it wasn't allowed right now when I flat out got told no to leaving and even when I did leave 20 min late they were salty about me leaving and they now want to write me up for getting overtime. Fuck them.
I hate Walmart. Absolute garbage employers.
