My old company claimed they rehired me after I was approved for UE for constructive dismissal?

They never responded to the claim so I was automatically granted the benefits. Now they’re trying to say that I’m rehired, even though I haven’t applied to nor received any correspondence or money from the company since I quit. Im not sure how to proceed, is this even legal?
