I have been at my job for 4.5 years and when I’ve requested days off I have NEVER been questioned or given shit about it, and I’ve had 3 different managers! I currently have 80 hours of personal PTO.
Our manager just (understandably) quit and now some higher up is covering until we have a new one. I requested 3 vacation days today for JULY. Plenty of time to adjust schedule. Manager tells me she needs to review doctors schedules before she can approve. The schedules never change unless a provider takes off. I have NEVER once been told something needs considered before a day off is approved. Why should I be okay with that suddenly changing now?
This bitch immediately sends out an email to the whole office that someone will need to cover my entire shift that day because I’m requesting personal days. She doesn’t even understand how our schedules work. We are all full time employees and are all there every day. Someone will simply have to stay about an hour later and my coworker had already volunteered to do it. She’s happy to get the overtime.
Not only that but the manager got my hours wrong in the email. She has no idea how our office operates or what our duties consist of or even what our previous manager’s duties consisted of. Yet she gets paid probably twice as much as us.
