I'm so proud of my dad. He's extremely conservative (I'm more middle of the road) and not exactly the guy I thought would be divesting in much of anything. He and I were talking about the skyrocketing housing prices in our area. I mentioned how we get about 5 calls or texts a week of investment firms wanting to buy our house.
My dad said he was invested in stock with one of those groups but sold it when he found out how they were making it impossible for anyone to afford to own a home. He said he couldn't be apart of something that kept average workers from being able to purchase property.
Yall, he is a die hard Trump supporter and lifelong conservative. 74 years of conservative. A business owner. And he looked me in the eye and told me he would not invest in anything like that ever again now that he knows.
Yall I'm proud.
(He will always be pissed at me for voting how I vote. But he is seeing what's happening and is standing up against it. He has always paid his workers a living wage and always made sure to do business fairly. He's a good man, and not a lunatic like a lot of employers. For the record)
