My vote is for sale

(EDIT: Just to head it off — What does this have to do with Antiwork? Honest. If, after reading it, you can't answer that, you ask for an explanation. And I'll go through it line by line.) Going by 40-odd years of politics, it doesn't really matter whether it's a democrat or a Republican in the White House — I get screwed either way. The Republicans are going to win the midterms and that means they're going to win in 2024 because Biden's entire presidency so far has been a shitshow, but once the Republicans regain the Senate (and probably the House), it'll make this first year look like a loving kiss from a doting parent. The democrats, as usual, seem to have no idea how to win. So I'm making it simple for them: If you give me what I want, BEFORE the midterms — no, not after; I…

Going by 40-odd years of politics, it doesn't really matter whether it's a democrat or a Republican in the White House — I get screwed either way.

So I'm making it simple for them: If you give me what I want, BEFORE the midterms — no, not after; I don't trust any of you — I will vote for you during the midterms. Why would I do that? Because after I get what I want in the midterms, you're still going to need me for the 2024 primaries. So I know you won't screw around. But I also know you need to understand that I'm not an idiot who still trusts you.

As I was saying, I will vote the straight democrat ticket, but I require student loan cancellation (not some pissant $10K or $50K — the whole damned thing. For everyone. Pay for it with a yacht tax; Biden doesn't even need to go to Congress for it) and universal health care (ask Canada if you can borrow their paperwork and instructions; it's already been shown elsewhere, multiple times, that universal health care costs less than what we currently have, so don't even dust off that canard).

We'll discuss what it'll cost you for my 2024 vote after the midterms.

It's a one-time, non-negotiable offer. Don't blow it.
