My work shifted me to a new position with more responsibilities and harder work and I want a raise for my trouble. Any tips?

I work for a school. I used to be a back-rooms logistics assistant who did various functions that the school needed done. It was very low-key, very easy work, all just filing documents and sending them to various places/emailing people. Since the last semester they’ve gotten rid of that position completely(or so they tell me) and have reassigned me to work in special ed as an assistant. I have nothing against the kids, most of them are very sweet, but I’m cleaning up human waste minimum 2-3 times a day and I’ve just been bitten by a child today. I’ve decided I’m fine with the responsibilities but that I feel I’m not being adequately compensated for the shift in responsibility and the constant work. I cannot overstate how stressful it is with the kids sometimes. This sub has had a lot of reasonable feedback for relatable problems, I’ve seen. Got…

This sub has had a lot of reasonable feedback for relatable problems, I’ve seen. Got any advice I could use to give me a better chance? I get the impression my work thinks I’m far more disposable than I actually am, if I were to leave my class they would be severely understaffed.
