Hi! I work as a banquet server in Michigan. The tips are given on a total bill paid at the end of the event. The managers don’t allow the employees to see the receipt, that states the tip amount. I have witnessed management giving one employee a larger portion of the tip than the rest of us. Is this legal? Am I entitled to see the tip line on the receipt? Sometimes the manager says there was not a tip given and I have been suspicious of them. I have an appointment with the general manager and my regular manager tomorrow about the issue. Any advice or input??
