situation is have been a mechanic for going on 5 years with 2 years of schooling, have worked in 2 dealers and wanted something closer to my house due to mudslides and harsh weather , so tried out this small shop “very small just the boss/other tech and his girlfriend/service writer/everything else for the business side “. when I started they had also hired another tech but he didn't stay long due to the consistent fighting between him and his girl and anger my boss showed with things not always going smoothly, the other guy who got hired the same time as me left after 2 maybe 3 months , and that was when I started to ask myself if this job was toxic , I enjoyed the change of work tho so wanted to stick thru and try to learn and ignore my boss but it was getting hard, being nit picked for every little thing , getting treated like a kid, and just verbal harassment , I literally saw him kick his cat out the door 🙁 and then things really went down hill , last week I called in sick Monday and Tuesday, and also let me say this play has NO benefits , and when I came back he told me my pay was cut from 30-20 ( which for where I live that's unrealistic) so I put my resignation in and got my tools .
Here is where the issue is , they sent me a text saying they are going to deducted from my last pay check for the damaged parts when installed and things that I didn't even touch ?! this is against the law in Colorado and I sent her the article talking about it and she has not said anything back and I have not gotten my pay stubs for the final weeks yet and still no reply what should my next step be in getting my full payment ?
