So small story to all this. I work in a hospital in the ER. I have been here for a few months and the job itself is pretty good. I like it for something I have never done before, my work is non clinical so I got trained on the job. Recently they put me on third shift, 12 hour shifts with very little to do but sit at a desk and wait for people. It's ok, get to work on my hobbies, and I got a pay raise. Have no complaints where I am now and I planned to stay with this job for a long time… Until they took me off third and I saw the new schedule
Normally, and this is for EVERYONE, in my department you work 2 on 2 off with rotation of half days on Wednesday and the occasional 3 day run block out for a month at a time, all 12 hour shifts. That's how it is. For some reason when I got put back on day shift I got this wierd on off on off 6/8/12 schedule that's all over the fucking place that makes no sense. It gives me my 40 but I'm here more than anyone else. I emailed my manager about it and I haven't got a response.
My personal response and what I'm asking is my mother has an in at a job that is about 5$ more an hour than what I make now but it's at a deli. I would be getting the same benefits and everything.
I know the money seems like I no brainier but am I overreacting about the schedule? To put it in retrospect two new people got hired in my department and have better time slots than I do ( one of them is the reason I got taken off third shift and am losing my bonus pay).
So should I stay or should I go?
