For context, I’m the general manager at a pricy japanese restaurant in Oklahoma, I’ve been here for 3 years now putting up with verbal abuse, sexist policies and borderline racism and I’m fucking done with my employer, I don’t want to just quit even though that would fuck them royally, but I want to report them and try to take them down because of their practices, they have had illegal 11yos in the kitchen (I’m an immigrant too but child labor is not okay), knowingly served spoiled fish, makes kitchen staff work however many days in a row they need to to accommodate short staffing (my line cook worked 21 days straight without a break at one time), some female servers were not allowed to take their masks off when the mandates dropped unless they wore makeup (this was directed at the couple servers who are not necessarily conventionally pretty), also have suspicions they’re doing some ilegal stuff with their books cause they report low earning for anyone working the sushi bar when they all drive bmws and have said they make more than what I see on paper. That’s just scraping the surface of how fucking awful they are as employers.
So I have come here to seek information on who to go to to place reports, what type of proof I’d need and how likely it is that I’ll get anything done.
