I (19) am looking to leave my current job. I live in Massachusetts and I work at a local business that is in the food service industry. I have been working there for 4 years and my pay has only gone up 75 cents. I am there everyday and I’m one of the core members of the team. My boss keeps on shorting me on checks and he is in general unpleasant to deal with. I am not in school but I plan on attending a community college soon. I am upset because I know of people who do the same thing that I do (honestly less work even) and get payed more with benefits. I don’t know wether or not to quit or to scale back my hours to focus on something else or what to do. I feel like I’m stuck in this job because it’s the lesser of two evils.
